Welcome to Mount School, an independent specialist school in North Wales providing therapeutic education for learners aged 7–18 with SEMH and Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
At Mount School, we understand that every child has a unique story. Many of our learners have experienced barriers to education that have affected their confidence, wellbeing and ability to engage with learning. Our role is to remove those barriers by creating a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where every learner feels valued, understood and empowered to succeed.
Our approach is built on the belief that learning begins with relationships. By combining high-quality teaching with therapeutic practice, personalised support and meaningful learning experiences, we help learners develop academically, socially and emotionally. We celebrate individual strengths, nurture resilience and provide the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for successful futures.
Our broad and ambitious curriculum is carefully designed to meet the needs of every learner. From exciting expedition-based learning in Key Stage 2, enquiry-led missions in Key Stage 3 and personalised qualifications and pathways in Key Stage 4, every pupil follows a curriculum that is engaging, relevant and prepares them for adulthood.
Working in partnership with families, local authorities and other professionals, we are committed to ensuring that every learner is supported to thrive. Whether developing confidence in the classroom, building independence in the community or achieving recognised qualifications, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.
We are proud to be a school where every learner is known, every success is celebrated and every interaction makes a difference..
